Since then, Malebogo has advocated against domestic abuse and supported survivors of gender-based violence. 2017, she received the International Women of Courage Award for her activism. Malebogo and the Botswana Ministry of Education have created a program for children to help them learn about Gender-based violence at home. Malebogo also encourages para sports and sports for women in general.

Because Malebogo has passionately played professional basketball for more than ten years, from the age of 18 until the shooting, she started to play wheelchair basketball. She even organized the first wheelchair tournament in her country. Her motto: disability is not inability.
